Nice Jazz Festival
Nice Jazz Festival proudly holds the title of the first Jazz Festival of the world and dates back to 1948 so it has plenty of history behind it. It’s a festival dedicated to ‘great music’ and has the crème de la crème of jazz performers. It runs from July 15th – 19th and has a unique programme every evening. If you love jazz music then you will not want to miss this magical event. The lineup is generally released at the start of each year for you to browse and see when your preferred performers are on, and you can plan your jazz fun-filled evening!
Tour De France
The infamous Tour De France runs annually and is the biggest sporting event in France. It takes place throughout July and is made up of 21 stages and runs over 23 days. It’s an event for brave cyclists or avid cyclists who just want to be spectators. It creates a real buzz throughout the areas it passes through. NIGHT OPENINGS AT THE VILLA EPHRUSSI DE ROTHSCHILD
A long-running summer event, nightly openings at Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild are full of spectacle and wonder. From the beginning of July through to the end of August they take place every Monday and Tuesday evening and you can discover the joy of the Côte d’Azur by night. There are lots of events running throughout from music, live shows, dance acts, ballet, musical fountains and of course, you can explore the villa itself and all it has to offer from its beautiful ponds and gardens illuminated by hundreds of candles. The restaurant and bar are also exceptional so you can make a full evening of it and enjoy a fabulous dinner party too.
Villa Beaches
A wonderful event held at the beginning of August The Electronic Beaches is a unique festival that offers chilled and exotic vibes. There is plenty of outdoor space with a unique seating configuration to enjoy a lavish picnic and while the days away listening to talented artists serenade you! It runs for 4 days and year on year has a breathtaking live program for you to enjoy. A real must visit if you’re a bit of a festival-goer!
The Nights of The Castle At Nice
For a dreamy night under the stars The Nights of the Castle host weekly events throughout the summer. Dominated by theatre performances but also including music and dance, performers take over the outdoor cathedral space on the hill and put on various entertainment for the city of Nice. This event is free and is run by the city for its residents and guests!
