In the autumn of last year, we welcomed the beautiful Tara and Gabriel into Château Saint Georges for their luxury destination wedding and their day was as stunning as the couple themselves. From maximal florals to intricate table details and an intimate vibe, it was the epitome of luxury.
We’re biased although we’re sure you’ll agree that the Château itself is a stunning place to host your destination wedding. The decor speaks for itself and although minimal decoration is needed for a luxury setting it can be used as the most beautiful backdrop for some dramatic styling as Tara and Gabriel’s day proved! To personalise their ceremony they went for maximum impact when it came to their styling. The dramatic florals for the ceremony transformed the space into an internal secret garden, with a floral walkway down the aisle leading to a installation for them to be married in front of. This wasn’t the original plan for the couple, as the weather wasn’t on their side that day, so the ceremony was brought indoors but with nothing short of beauty it was still the most perfect day for the couple.
As the day got brighter they used the exterior of the Château. to get the most stunning photography and we were able to open the beautiful french doors for their wedding breakfast to be served partly al fresco. The table’s centrepieces were just as dramatic, hanging from the ceiling in autumnal colours and beautiful vintage pots filled with roses trailed down the middle. It was an eclectic mix of deep autumn colours and pastels that worked beautifully against the gold gilded decor of the Château.
The tables were laid with traditional crockery and cutlery for their wedding breakfast and they had custom made favours too. Handmade soaps wrapped in personalised sheaths with their names and wedding date added a special touch to their table decor. The couple themselves went for a traditional black-tie look for their outfits which we always find fits in with the Château perfectly! With a crisp black tuxedo and the most stunning but relaxed ivory gown they oozed style and elegance.
