Intimate CELEBRATIONS

Nothing says romance more than intimate celebrations in a faraway land. Destination weddings ultimately bring a more intimate vibe, generally because there are fewer guests. However, we believe a more intimate vibe also comes from the experience that your guests share! People travelling together, experiencing a new place together, and partying together even before you say ‘I do’ sees people forging new friendships and creating bonds and memories that will last a lifetime! Intimate destination celebrations are the perfect trend to follow for a day to remember for you and all your guests.

Extended Celebrations

We know all about extended celebrations here at the Château and they’re a huge trend! Most of our couples choose to stay with us for at least 3 days and sometimes more! Gone are the days when you have to have just a one-day wedding, and of course this means your celebrations can last for longer! For example, at the Château we host pre-wedding cocktail parties by the pool, pamper sessions in our wellness center for the wedding party, and post-wedding picnics on the lawns.  Extending your celebration over a weekend, allows guests to bond and explore the beautiful destination and allows you more time to spend with your loved ones who have come to celebrate with you!

Cultural Infusion

Incorporating local traditions is a great way for you and your guests to enjoy new experiences together and the perfect way to honour your surroundings and immerse yourself in your location.  Think about adding local music talents and mouth-watering cuisine into your wedding festivities for a truly unique and immersive experience for you and your guests. Speak to your venue about any recommendations they have for this. They will know what kind of cultural infusion to add depending on the type of wedding and vibe you are looking for, for your wedding day.

Sustainable Weddings

Sustainable weddings are top of the list when it comes to destination wedding trends. They are rising in popularity and this can only be a good thing as we work towards repairing and saving our planet there is an increasing emphasis on eco-conscious elements of your day as a whole. This could include using eco-friendly decor, finding locally sourced food, and reducing waste. You can work with both your venue and suppliers on doing everything you can to make sure that you add this very important trend to your wedding day.

Wellness and Relaxation

Wedding planning can be stressful so we think adding wellness and relaxation into your schedule is a significant destination wedding trend! Offering relaxation activities for you and your wedding party is a beautiful way to relax and unwind before the festivities of the big day. Here at the Château, we’ve seen couples take part in yoga on the lawns, enjoy a meditation sunrise or sunset, and of course organize rejuvenating spa treatments to help them truly relax over their wedding period. We have a whole wellness centre here at the Château that all of our guests can enjoy to their heart’s content.
