WELCOME  TO GRASSE – THE WORLD’S CAPITAL OF PARFUM

The Côte d’Azur, the French Riviera: its sun, its beaches… and especially its backcountry, a true haven of well-being, brimming with authentic flavours and fragrances! Rising from the hills above the Mediterranean is the city of Grasse, the perfume capital of the world, surrounded by the charming Provencal landscape and villages of the Pays de Grasse, the regional name for this breathtaking and tranquil countryside. Together, they form the French Rivera’s most beautiful balcony.

At the dawn of the new millennium, with the renewed emphasis on authenticity, well-being, and the great outdoors, the Pays de Grasse is in the spotlight: a vast natural and cultural amphitheatre, rich in fascinating historic and architectural treasures. The region is a remarkable destination, featuring stunning perched villages and gentle hills, covered with olive trees, rolling all the way down to the sea. Here, the locals still speak the language of their ancestors, seeking both to preserve and to share their identity.

Situated in the charming hillside town of Grasse, only a few minutes distance from world-renowned perfumeries, Chateau Saint Georges is easily accessible, but in the same time very secluded, hidden from view by thick rows of old trees and large grounds.

Château Saint Georges

Greetings from the French Riviera…

Grasse is the heart of the French perfume industry. Almost all the legendary names of French perfume houses are closely linked to this area – starting from Guerlain and Patou to Rochas and Hermès. The house of Chanel owns a large rose plantation in Grasse neighborhood, where they obtain essences being used exclusively for Chanel perfumes. Even the legendary Chanel N. 5 was created there!
